Council

The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council meets on the second Monday of most months. Please see the Calendar for meeting announcements (click "Calendar" on the navigation bar above). Reports and other committee reference materials may be seen on our website accompanying their respective meeting agendas. Agendas are posted publicly in the window of the Sherman Oaks Library, 14245 Moorpark Street, Sherman Oaks, 91423.

If you would like to receive all council meeting agendas delivered to you via email, simply go to EmpowerLA.org; click on “Neighborhood Councils”, on the drop down menu choose Neighborhood Council Agendas, fill in your name and email address, check the box for Sherman Oaks, and click “subscribe.” That’s all there is to it!

Agenda Requests

The Council conducts its business by reviewing and prioritizing agenda requests for Board action (generally either in the form of a motion or letter) or announcements submitted by stakeholders, governmental entities and other interested individuals and organizations. Council Committee has the discretion to postpone a request, refer it to a specific committee for review and recommendation, treat it as an announcement or consider and resolve it as a non-Board administrative matter.

Regular Meeting Times and Locations

The Council will be conducting its in-person board meetings at the Sherman Oaks East Valley Adult Center at 5056 Van Nuys Blvd.
