Traffic & Transportation

The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council Traffic & Transportation Committee is dedicated to enhancing mobility, safety, and accessibility for all community members. We advocate for sustainable and efficient transportation solutions that improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and promote multimodal transit options. Through collaboration with local government, and stakeholders, we strive to develop policies and initiatives that foster a safer, more connected, and environmentally responsible transportation network; with an emphasis on enhanced enforcement and safety measures. We will seek to connect with relevant agencies, including LADWP, LADOT, LA Metro, Public Works, and LAPD in our efforts. Our mission is to ensure that our streets, public transit systems, and infrastructure serve the needs of our growing community while prioritizing equity, innovation, and long-term sustainability.

Agenda Requests

The Traffic & Transportation conducts its business by reviewing and prioritizing agenda requests for Board action (generally either in the form of a motion or letter) or announcements submitted by stakeholders, governmental entities and other interested individuals and organizations. Traffic & Transportation Committee has the discretion to postpone a request, refer it to a specific committee for review and recommendation, treat it as an announcement or consider and resolve it as a non-Board administrative matter.
