SONC Statement of Support for BID Van Nuys Median Project

The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council, at its meeting on Monday, April 10, 2023, considered and reviewed the Business Improvement District’s Sherman Oaks Van Nuys Blvd Landscaped Median Project and in a unanimous vote, adopted the following motion:

A motion to support the Sherman Oaks Van Nuys Blvd Landscaped Median project, as presented, because it will enhance the beauty of our community, have safety benefits, traffic calming benefits, carbon capture benefits, and stormwater retention benefits.

Accordingly, the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council recommends approval of the Sherman Oaks Van Nuys Blvd Landscaped Median Project.

Background: The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council Vision Committee reviewed the proposed Sherman Oaks Van Nuys Blvd. Landscaped Street Medians at its April 6 meeting and adopted a motion of support, which was considered by the full SONC board on April 10, 2023.
