I’ve lived in Sherman Oaks for the past 9 years, where my son, attended Sherman Oaks Elementary school. In my 25 plus years as a financial consultant, I have worked for Sunkist and volunteered provided financial legacy workshops to Jewish Family Services-Domestic Violence Shelters. I’m currently an entrepreneur, and community advocate who brings my formidable experience in financial management, career coaching\mentoring, social impact advocacy work with art/entertainment/fashion to the nonprofit I founded entitled, Empowered Gifts (EG);
providing women and girls, displaced through domestic violence, addictions, homelessness, or socio-economic hardships, gifting opportunities and workforce programs with the goal of securing self-sufficiency through employment and/or entrepreneurial endeavors.
Valuing the importance of fashion in women’s lives, in community outreach and celebratory events, EG awards both underprivileged women at (Monthly Homeless Connect events, San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, Children Of The Night, Chrysalis-Women’s Empowerment Program etc.) and professional women (Women's Business Center Fashion Events, Valley College-LA Fellows Program, LAUSD Teachers,
Soroptimist-Women Back To College, etc.) with Handbags, as a source of feminine pride, and a symbol of where we carry our power!
