Board meetings are the 2nd Monday evening of most months. All meetings are open to the public. Interested people are urged to serve on committees. See the agenda online at www.shermanoaksnc.org . Board members are elected and serve without pay.

A 52,000 square foot Whole Foods supermarket is being planned for the corner of Ventura Blvd and Beverly Glen. Will it affect traffic?, quality of life?, and you? Some information was received by SONC late last year. To see it go to our website. Using the pull-down menu “committees” select Planning and Land Use Committee. The information is posted under December 31, 2016. For more info contact Jeff Kalban at jkalbansonc@gmail.com .

Chandler Median
We have received a number of inquiries about the condition of the Chandler Median. This is the situation: The private contractor that maintained the Chandler Median and other medians around the city went out of business. The city has arranged for a temporary contractor to care for these areas. There is a lot of catch up to be done all over the city, but maintenance of the Chandler Median should resume in the next few weeks. A new permanent contractor will be chosen in the near future.

Potholes
In February SONC worked with the Department of Street Services to get more than 100 potholes filled. Our next pothole filling event will be this summer. We need your help to locate and map areas that need repair now. We can get twice as many potholes filled if crews can go directly to them; so EXACT information is needed.
This is what we need to know:
1. If it's in the street, we need the EXACT street address it's in front of (not just the block).
2. If it's in an alley, we need the EXACT address it's behind plus the two streets at the ends of the alley.
3. If it's in an intersection, we need the two streets that cross.
